Custom-built Drupal site for maximum search engine optimization

GOALS

V.I. Real Solutions is an upstart Real Estate and Property Management company based in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. Their big competitors have existed for years and they needed a website that would leapfrog onto the top of google/yahoo/bing searches to help get a bigger piece of the action (in a miserable real estate environment.)

FEATURES

• The client has been empowered/trained to add and edit all content on the site.
• Property listings include beautiful online picture galleries and are cross-linked to their MLS listings.
• Vacation rental listings also include galleries and season pricing and are cross-linked to their FRBO listings. There is also a Vacation Rentals Specials section.
• Site also includes listings for long-term rentals and property management services.
• The owner/manager runs an increasingly well-known blog about Virgin Islands activities and local issues.
• Important real estate-related news stories are posted on the site as well as events and a Virgin Islands links database.
• The design of the site utilizes a beautiful transparency effect to help convey the lifestyle of living in the Virgin Islands.
• The site has been totally SEO-optimized in our mission to reach the top of the search engines.

RESULTS

So far, we have been disappointed with our search engine results for our two top targets in google (although we sailed straight to the top in yahoo! and Bing). However, we are listing extremely well for many other intended and unintended search keywords and phrases, and traffic has been steadily improving.
